I loved Into the Spider-Verse and almost immediately wanted to paint Gwen. Her red and white colors gave me the perfect opportunity to draw my favorite flower, rhododendrons! I really like that their symbolic meaning is "caution, danger" because those are things you absolutely should be thinking about when you see a brightly colored spider.

The caption quote was also an in-joke when I originally posted it, since I had recently posted a drawing of Star Butterfly (of Star vs. The Forces of Evil) with the caption, "She's from another dimension!"
